NOTICE
Authority. This application for a Bui l ding Perm it m ust be signed by the Own er of the property, described above, o r
an authorized agent. If the signature below is not that of the Owner, a separate letter of authority, signed by the
Own er, must be provided w ith t his Application .
Legal Access. A Bui ld ing Pe r mit cannot be issued w ithout proof of lega l an d adequate access to th e property for
purposes of inspections by t he Building Division.
Other Permits. Mult ip le separate permits may be r equ ired : (1) Sta t e Electrical Permit, (2) County ISDS Permit, (3)
another permit requ ired for use on the property iden tified above, e.g. State or County Highway/ Road Acces s or a
State Wa stewater Di scharge Permit.
Void Permit. A Building Perm it becomes null and void if the work authorized is not commenced within 180 days of
t he date of issuance and if work is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after commencement.

understand that the Bu ilding Di visio n accepts the App lication, along w ith the plans and specifications an d other
data submitted by m e or on my behalf (su bmittals), based upon my certification as to accuracy. Ass u ming
co mplet ene ss of the submit tals and approva l of this App li cation, a Building Permit will be issued granting
pe r m ission to me, as Owner, to con struct t he struct ur e(s) and faci lities detai led on t h e submittals r ev iewed by t he
Bu ilding Divi sion. In consi deration of t he iss uance of the Building Permit, I agree that I and my agents will comp ly
w ith provisions of any federa l, state or loca l law regulating t h e work and the Garfield Co un ty Bui ld ing Co d e, ISDS
regu lations and app licab le lan d u se regu lations (County Reg ulation(s)). I acknowledge that the Bui ld ing Permit
may be su spended or revoked, upon .notice from the County, if the location, co nstruction or use of t h e structu re(s)
and facility(ies), de scribed abo.ve, are not in comp liance with County Regu lation(s) or any other applicab le law.
I hereb y grant permiss ion to the Bui lding Divi sion to en ter t h e. property, described above, to inspect the work. I
f u rther acknowledge that t h e issuance of t h e Bui ldin g Permit does not preve n t t he Bu ilding Officia l from: (1 )
req u iring the correction of errors in the submittals, if any, discovered after issua nce; or (2) stopping const r uction
or u se of t he structu re(s) or faci lity(ies) if su ch is i n violation of County Regu l ation(s) or any other applicab le law.
