To Ms Eastley: T-Mobile hereby submits the application to modify their exis ting cell site located on a stealth tree tower on Coryell Ridge Road. The original zoning was done and approved on November 13, 2000. We zoned for a new 55' monopine. The original drawings did reflect three (3) per sector for a total of nine (9) antennas. Regardless T-Mobile is proposing to go to nine (9) antennas). There is a structural being done to make sure the structure can hold the ad ditional loading. T-Mobile is working to respond to unprecedented customer demand for dependable wireless communication services. To meet this demand, T-Mobile is constantly improving its coverage areas and expanding its network capaci ty to handle the growing number of cu stomer ca ll s and dala lransmissions . These upgrades will increase the operating efficiency of the site while reducing the carbon footprint allowing T-Mobile to improve wireless coverage. The n et results are better serv ice for residents, business and visitors in your lo ca l area and a greener cell site. This site currently has two technologies but the antenna sys tem and ground mounted cabinets must be modified to allow the implementation of the new techno logy while keeping the proper isolation between technolo gies/frequen cy band for interference intermodulation control. In addition to convenience and enjoyment, wireless communicatio ns p lay an important role in p erso n al and public safety: la st year (2011) over 395,000 E911 ca ll s were made each day on w ireless phones. In fact, over half of all emergency ca ll s each year are made on cell phones. T-Mobile looks forward to working with you to provide better wireless services to your community. Please contact myself for any information you should ne ed 303.601.7241 or via e-mail Annie.Mackiewicz@T-Mobile.com. Regards, Annie Mackiewicz, Consultant 2323 Delgany Street Denver, CO 80216 .~ . If the existing conditions are not as represented on the tower elevation contained in this report, we should be contacted immediately to evaluate the significance of the discrepancy. This is not a condition assessment of the tower or foundation. This report does not replace a full tower inspection. The tower and foundations are assumed to have been properly fabricated, erected, maintained, in good condition, twist free, and plumb. The engineering services rendered by GPO GROUP in connection with this Structural Analysis are limited to a computer analysis of the tower structure and theoretical capacity of its main structural members. All tower components have been assumed to only resist dead loads when no other loads are applied. No allowance was made for any damaged, bent, missing, loose, or rusted members (above and below ground). No allowance was made for loose bolts or cracked welds. GPO GROUP does not analyze the fabrication of the structure (including welding). It is not possible to have all the very detailed information needed to perform a thorough analysis of every structural sub-component and connection of an existing tower. GPO GROUP provides a limited scope of service in that we cannot verify the adequacy of every weld, plate connection detail, etc. The purpose of this report is to assess the feasibility of adding appurtenances usually accompanied by transmission lines to the structure. It is the owner's responsibility to determine the amount of ice accumulation in excess of the code specified amount, if any, that should be considered in the structural analysis. The attached sketches are a schematic representation of the analyzed tower. If any material is fabricated from these sketches, the contractor shall be responsible for field verifying the existing conditions, proper fit, and clearance in the field. Any mentions of structural modifications are reasonable estimates and should not be used as a precise construction document. Precise modification drawings are obtainable from GPO GROUP, but are beyond the scope of this report. Miscellaneous items such as antenna mounts, etc., have not been designed or detailed as a part of our work. We recommend that material of adequate size and strength be purchased from a reputable tower manufacturer. Towers are designed to carry gravity, wind, and ice loads. All members, legs, diagonals, struts, and redundant members provide structural stability to the tower with little redundancy. Absence or removal of a member can trigger catastrophic failure unless a substitute is provided before any removal. Legs carry axial loads and derive their strength from shorter unbraced lengths by the presence of redundant members and their connection to the diagonals with bolts or welds. If the bolts or welds are removed without providing any substitute to the frame, the leg is subjected to a higher unbraced length that immediately reduces its load carrying capacity. If a diagonal is also removed in addition to the connection, the unbraced length of the leg is greatly increased, jeopardizing its load carrying capacity. Failure of one leg can result in a tower collapse because there is no redundancy. Redundant members and diagonals are critical to the stability of the tower. GPO GROUP makes no warranties, expressed and/or implied, in connection with this report and disclaims any liability arising from material, fabrication, and erection of this tower. This addition will meet the Guidelines and Recommendations for co-location ofTelecommunicatlons Facilities" dated April 18, 2008: 1) "The new installation does not increase the height of the existing facility". As stated above, the new antennas will be installed at the same level as the existing antennas. 2) "The new installation does not increase the footprint (total disturbed area) of the existing facility". There will be no ground disturbance associated with the installation of the new antennas, no increase in the site foot print. 3) "The new installation complies with the radio frequency emission requirements of the Federal Communications Commission". The Verizon Wireless communications facility will comply with all Federal radio frequency standards and all current Federal Communications Commission guidelines, specifically OET Bulletin 65 for cumulative measurements of radio frequency power densities and electromagnetic fields. 4) "Garfield County BOCC has approved the existing facility during a public hearing In which the public and interested persons were given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the request".
