HomeMy WebLinkAboutHOA Review.pdfAspen Glen Homeowner's Association Design Review Committee April 18, 2014 via email Mr. Mark McClain 515 Crystal Circle Carbondale, CO 81623 Re: Minor Review E-40/200 Diamond A Ranch Road West Mark and Sarah, thank you for the submittal of plans for the minor improvements to the 200 Diamond A Ranch Road residence and thank you for joining the Design Review Committee (DRC) meeting. The DRC reviewed the plans during their meeting April 16, 2014. The DRC approved the proposed improvements per the submitted plans April 7, 2014. The DRC agreed with the DRC Administrator that given the minor nature of the exterior changes to the home that a DRC fee was not warranted however given the scope of all the changes to the home a builder's completion deposit is required. The DRC determined that a deposit of $10,000 was necessary. The builder's completion deposit and IRS W-9 Form (attached to this email) are required prior to or at the pre -construction conference. As was represented during the DRC review that no landscaping amendments are proposed and existing exterior colors will be used. The Aspen Glen DRC has approved the submitted plans with the following conditions: 1. Because this is a significant upgrade to the home the DRC requested that a chimney cap be installed. 2. Exterior light fixtures shall come into compliance with the Design Guidelines. I have attached the section out of the Guidelines that addresses lighting. 3. Please provide a simple sketch of the chimney cap and lighting fixture cut sheets for review. 4. The builder's completion deposit must be paid prior to or at the pre -construction meeting. A pre -construction meeting on site is required before construction may commence. Please have the contractor contact me so we can arrange that meeting. In addition, please contact the DRC Administrator at (970) 963-8434, upon completion of construction for a final site inspection by the DRC. Please keep in mind that a copy of your approved plans is kept on file for periodic review by the Design Review Committee to assure compliance with your approved plans. In addition, the DRC will expect a revised landscape plan for our files in the event that the final landscape installation is not consistent with the plan that the DRC approved during the standard review process.
