Plan Notes:
1. Rooms shall have exterior glazing of not less than 8 percent of their
floor area to provide natural light in accordance with Section R303.1,
or they shall be provided with artificial light per Exception 2 (Section
R303.1)
2. Rooms shall be provided with natural ventilation in accordance with
Section R303.1, or they shall be provided with mechanical ventilation
in accordance with Section R303.1, Exception 1
3. Light and ventilation for bathrooms, water closet compartments and
similar rooms shall comply with Section R303.3.
4. Interior and exterior stair illumination shall comply with Sec. 303.6.
5. Smoke alarms shall be interconnected as indicated in Section
