Requirements:
1. Plans and specifications for proposed use.
2. Letters of approval from utility companies, sewage and water. Road access
and other information deemed necessary.
3. A vicinity map drawn to scale depicting the subject property, location and
use of buildings and structures on adjacent lots.
4. An impact statement on the proposed use (see 5.03.07 -5.03.og of Zoning Regs.)
5. A copy of Assesscr-'s map showing property; ar.d a listing of all adjoining
property owners and proper"ty owners within. 200 feet of said property.
Notice containing information described under paragraph 5 shall be mailed
to all owners of record of these lots at least 5 days prior to the hearing
by certified return receipt mail.
6. Notice including the name of the applicant, descrip~ion of the subject lot,
a description of the proposed special use and the time and place for the
hearin9 shall be given in the newspaper of general circulation in that
portion of the County at 1 east fifteen (15) days prior to such hearing ti me.
Applicant shall bear the cost of advertising.
7. A fee of $500.00 shall be charged for each application and shall be sub-
mitted with the application.
This Special Use Permit is in compliance with Sections 5.03 and 9.03 of the
Garfield County Zonina Resolution and as per application. -. -.
List all property owners within 200 feet-of subject property lines.

Enclosed you will find the original signed Waivers
of Notice for the hearing of March 22, 1982, from the surrounding
property owners of the A.K. Leasing special use site.
I contacted Earl Rhodes, the County Attorney,
advised him that since the surrounding owners had not
a certified mailing of the Notice of Hearing, that it
be necessary for us to obtain Waivers of the notice.

I went to each of the people who have executed
these Waivers and provided them with copies of the application
documents, including the map, the Planning Department's

cation. Accordingly, the surrounding owners are familiar
with the matter.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward
to me as soon as possible the written Special Use Permit
Resolution with the conditions as they were amended at the

Planning and Zoning hearing in February. Mr. Kleimer is closing
on the property on Friday, March 26, 1982, and we intend to
begin negotiations for construction of the building as soon
as possible.
I am sure you will recall that some of the conditions
of the Planning and Zoning level have been satisfied and
I would assume that those were not included in the permit
since they have been satisfied. Further, I would sincerely
appreciate an opportunity to review the resolution before
it is signed since there were some language changes in the
some of the recommendations and conditions that were imposed
which I want to be sure are in the resolution.
Again, my thanks for your cooperation and your
assistance in this matter.

As I understand it, the final hearing before the
Commissioners is set for Monday, March 22, 1982 at 10:30 A.M.
on this matter.
I have forwarded proof of our publication and I believe
that everything else required of A.K. Leasing has been done.
If not, please let me know.
We would sincerely appreciate your forwarding to
me a copy of the proposed resolution of approval so that we can
be sure all the changes recommended and conditions approved
by the Planning and Zoning Department are included.

following described property situated in the County of Garfield, State of

Practival Description (location with respect to highway, County roads and
residences):
South of County Road 221, approximately 2 miles east
of Rifle.
Said Special Use Permit is to allow the Petitioner(s) to initially construct
a support facility for service, maintenance, and storaqe of trucks and
equipment used in refuse collection; to orovide an operational office for the
service; and to provide employee housina in the existinq residences on site.

All persons affected by the proposed Special Use Permit are invited to appear
and state their views, protests or objections. If you cannot appear personally
at such meeting, then you are urged to state your views by letter, particularly
if you have objections to such Special Use Permit, as the Board of County
Com.missioners will give consideration to the comments of surrounding property
owners and others affected in deciding whether to grant or deny the request for
special use. This Special Use Permit application may be reviewed at the office
