Jn response to your request the following is a brief outline of the activities and
plans of our company.
Alpine Waste Services started in business in April, 1997. Our business activity
is in two areas. We handle the removal of construction debris in roll-off boxes. These
roll-off boxes are placed at construction sites in Garfield, Pitkin and Eagle Counties,
and when ftlll are transported by us for disposal in local landfills. Our second area of
service is providing portable storage units. These can also be placed at construction sites and
arc also a convenience for people who are moving locally.
On May 5, 1997 we leased one acre ofland from Harold Blue at the site of the
the Carbondale Landfill. This property was leased as a yard for the storage of roll-off
boxes that were either not in use, or full boxes awaiting transport to South Canyon Landfill.
Our use of this property is at present for storage purposes only. No waste is placed on the
ground.
Our current plans call for separating the construction debris for recycling. We have
placed a purchase deposit on a tub grinding unit which will shred the wood and cardboard
collected. This material can then be used for composting.
We wish to receive your comments as to our present and planned use of this
property as we are anxious to start our recycling operation.
Yours truly,
