This letter is being provide to certify that the installation of the
reinforcing steel and concrete for a Water Storage Tank was reviewed by
Calvetti Engineering, Inc. The above referenced installation consisted of a 10 ft x 19 ft
concrete slab with No.4 , Grade 60 rebar spaced at 24 inches o.c. along the perimeter
and 12 inches o.c. at the interior portion of the slab where the 7 ft diameter x 10 ft high
water storage tank is located. The depth of the concrete slab is 10 inches. WWF 6 x 6 /
1.4 x 1.4 was also provided in the upper portion of the slab with the reinforcing steel
placed at 4 inches from the bottom of slab. The estimated weight of water is 25,000 lbs.
with a contact pressure of 570 psf (4 psi ) which is well below the estimated
compressive strength of the concrete at 3000 psi. I hereby certify that the concrete slab
installation meets or exceeds the minimum requirements of Ch 16 & Ch 19 of 2009
International Building Code ( I.B.C.)
