Your application for a Land Use Change Permit for a Public Gathering has been determined to be technically complete. Proper notice of the requested event was sent to adjacent property owners within 200 feet within the required timeframe. Staff received one email response in favor of the event (attached). The application has been reviewed and has been approved by the Director subject to the following conditions; 1. All representations within the application shall be considered conditions of approval unless otherwise modified by the Director and or Board of County Commissioners. 2. The applicant is responsible for providing traffic control during the event to minimize congestion on the county road system. All event parking,. loading / unloading shall take place on private property. No event parking shall be allowed within the public right-of-way of a county road. Prior to the event,contact the Garfield County Road and Bridge Department (625-8601) to coordinate your event with them, 3. Proper arrangements shall be made to provide adequate portable toilets and sanitization for participants and attendingpublic during the event. 4. The applicant shall contact the Garfield County Sherriff's Department to let them know the event is taking place. The. Unitied-LantUseResojation_of_200$.as amended provides that the applicant, adjacent property owners, or the Board of County Commissioners may request reconsideration of this determination within 10 days of this decision (by September 10, 2011). The preliminary trials held for the last 2 years were good for the area but this will be even better! You have my full support.
