Please find below relevant sections of the Garfield County Unified Land Use Resolution
of 2008 in regards to this project.
9-104 (J) "Sensitive Area Survey: List the types and areas of concern along the pipeline
right-of-way, such as: sensitive plant populations; identified cultural, archeological,
paleontological resources; and wetlands identified during preconstruction environmental
surveys, if applicable."
Mid-America Pipeline Company, LLC has contracted with a respected environmental
science firm, WestWater Engineering from Grand Junction, CO.
The following reports are attached:
A. Biological Resources and Sensitive Areas Report dated January 2012 prepared by
WestWater Engineering.
B. "Report on the file search and the Class III Cultural Resource Inventory for a
Sensitive Study Area for the Enterprise Mid-America Pipeline Western Expansion
II Project in Garfield County, Colorado" dated March 14, 2012.
Mid-America Pipeline Company, LLC will comply with all applicable state and federal
laws during construction of the pipeline in regards to sensitive and rare plant species and
federally listed threatened and endangered birds.
Cultural, archeological, paleontological resources
Please note that we have designed the new pipeline largely within existing disturbed
right-of-way areas, thus, there would not likely be any cultural, archeological or
paleontological resources within this proposed right-of-way.
