Plant competitive grasses in disturbed areas, be alert, herbicides work best on rosettes. Mowing can reduce an infestation. Mowing, selective herbicides, competitive grasses, remove source of disturbance, consider AMF. Reseeding disturbed sites with fast growing grasses, herbicide in fall, allelopathic — tillage may be necessary depending on age of infestation. Mowing hedges with a brush type mower, followed by removal of cut material is an effective method for eradication. Pulling. Most translocating herbicides (e.g., glyphosate) are effective at label strength applied during the growing season.
