The system currently services the existing main house and has been functioning well. We understand the proposed guest house will be a one -bedroom 24' by 30' one-story cabin. The existing main house has 4 bedrooms. The original septic system was designed for the 5 -bedroom house that previously occupied this site. When the new main house was built, the olcl septic tank was replaced with a new 2,000 gallon tank. Based on our understanding of the existing septic system, adding the guest house to it should still be within the original design parameters with regard to design loading. It is our opinion that the guest house can be added without threatening the functionality of the existing system. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call our office.
