Dear Mr. Kincade:

Attached are application, fee, plans, and profiles
for installation of septic tank system on my
property in Garfield County.
Compliance with your regulations is certainly
intended. However, would it be possible to waive
the requirement for a percolation test? Adminis-
tration of the installation from this distance is
difficult. Identification of the soils and their
permeability characteristics must be well known
to your office. Please advise. 1 would also like
to ask you for specifications and location of
approved porous fill materials.
Mr. Addison Robichaud, Morrisania Mesa, will
supervise the installation and request your in-
spection before covering the system.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Very truly yours,
enc.

Re: Individual Home Sewage Treatment
Dear Mr. Edmondson,
This office is in receipt of your application, fee, plans,
and profile for the proposed septic system on your Morrisania
Mesa property.
I have been in contact with the Addison Robichauds on
Morrisania Mesa and they will prepare the site for the percola-
tion test which is required by the Garfield County Code. The
system plans you forwarded are acceptable and the only fore-
seeable discrepancy would be in the square footage of absorp-
tion area which will be determined by the percolation test re-
sults.
In answer to your question of approved seepage bed fill
material, may we recommend 11" - 21" clean aggregate (gravel)
to a minimum depth of 12". Numerous suppliers are in the area
and Mr. Robichaud will have to contact them for bids on your
system.
The practiced procedure on septic permits requires the ap-
proval of the Garfield County Building Official, Mr. W. Milner,
prior to issuance. Upon receiving his approval, this office
will issue the septic permit and construction may commence.
If we can be of any further assistance, please do not hesi-
tate to contact us.
