September 4, 2014 Mr. David Sharp 9216 Allwood PI Orlando, FL 32825 RE: Final Inspection Corrections 36'x56'x12' Pole Structure Seel 1, T07, R93 Rifle, CO Job #7318.L01 Mr. Sharp, We have received the corrections from the Final Inspection performed by the Building Department. The Inspector has identified items we need to address. The Inspector identified the roof trusses at 6' o.c. This project incorporates 12'-0" maximum bay spacing, meaning the trusses are spaced at 6'-0" o.c. The truss calculations state the spacing is 6'-0", and the trusses as designed are adequate and require no modifications. Additionally, we design our pole structures without diagonal bracing at the gable -end trusses or corners of the buildings. No diagonal bracing is required. The gable -end truss has been "dropped" to allow for roof overhangs. This has constituted the attachment of a ledger for the ceiling framing. We have reviewed the connection of the ledger to the gable -end truss and have determined the (2)1/4" sds screws to be acceptable. Additionally, the Contractor has furred out the gable -end truss for the ceiling ledger connection. Again, in our review, the attachments and construction provided are acceptable. No additional wiry will be required. Please call if you have any questions. Sincerely, Brian Waddell, PE, LEED AP PO Box 895 Post Falls, ID 83877 800.833.9997
