With a few conditions, the DRC has approved your house design for Lot 6. This letter will satisfy the requirements of the Garfield County building department. A variance was granted for no chimney for the fireplace. The following conditions need to be addressed: 1. The windows need a minimum of a 2 over 2 mulling pattern. 2. The final colors need to be approved with the DRC before painting commences. 3. The shingles in the main gables will come down to the head trim of the windows. Thank you for your time and attention to these matters. We look forward to your house becoming a great addition to the neighborhood. Sincerely, vin Brooke Chairman BCR DRC •dMaggert&Associates, Inc. I conducted a visual observation of items 4 and 5, as listed on your inspection correction notice sheet dated June 29, 2006. Concerning item 4, the front and rear exterior deck manufactured mono trusses were supported on a 2 x 4 ledger nailed with 2 - 16d nails at approximately 24" on center to the exterior house walls. I have directed Ron to add an additional 2 - 16d nails between the existing one's in place along the length of the ledger bringing the nailing pattern to 2 - 16d nails at 12" on center. Item 5, regarding overframing, was looked at for point loading conditions of roof joists bearing directly on the roof sheathing. I have directed Ron to distribute the isolated loads by providing 2 x 4 blocking underneath the joists and to span from truss to truss. I had also observed a hanger that was shimmed out horizontally approximately one inch at an area above the dining room. This hanger supported 2 -11 1/2" microllams con- nected to a 3 -11 1/2" mic olaminated beam. The hanger in place was found to provide adequate support for the imposed design load.
