At the time of the inspection, the footers had been poured, the wall forms had been set and were ready to be filled with concrete. The purpose of the site visit was to confirm the size of the footer and size and placement of the footer vertical reinforcement. It is my findings that the footer size is 18" wide by 12" deep. The exposed vertical reinforcement is #5 bars placed on 18" centers. Based on conversations with Tom Jointer, the owner of a respected concrete forming company with over 20 years of experience in the Roaring Fork Valley, the reported but undocumented inspection by a Garfield Country building official of the footer prior to concrete placement and my observations, within a reasonable level of confidence, I can state that the horizontal reinforcement in the footer is two continuous #5 bars. mmPlease eet free to contact me if yotaaveanyquesti-on Tk ankyou: Sincerely, CANYON ENGINEERING, INC.
