Karl Hanlon PO Box 2030 Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 Garfield County BUILDING & PLANNING DEPARTMENT RE: Glenwood Commercial Communication Facility (8118108) Special Use Permit Application Dear Karl: As you are aware, on August 18th, 2008 the Board of County Commissioners approved your clients request for a Special Use Permit to allow a "Communication Facility" with the following conditions: 1) That all representations made by the Applicant in the application and as testimony in the public hearing before the Board of County Commissioners shall be considered conditions of approval, unless specifically altered by the Board of County Commissioners. 2) That the Applicant shall be obligated to meet with the residents to determine what time of day is most suitable for the regularly scheduled maintenance running of the generator. If a time cannot be agreed upon by the neighbors and Verizon Wireless, then Verizon Wireless can choose a time that best suits their needs. 3) That the proposal specifically incorporates the reduction of the four antennas on the east end of the building to two antennas; 4) A roof cupola shall enclose the antennas located on the east and west ends of the building; 5) This action taken by the Board of County Commissioners includes the revocation of the Special Use Permit memorialized in Resolution No. 2008-11; 6) A sign identifying the existence of a communication facility shall be placed at the entrance of the subject property and on the building housing the facility. 108 Eighth Street, Suite 401 • Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 (970) 945-8212 • (970) 285-7972 • Fax. (970) 384-3470 Please note, now that the Board has made a decision regarding the Special Use request, Staff will provide you with a signed resolution memorializing the action taken by the Board. Following the Board's approval, this office will issue the Special Use Permit to the applicant. This office will not issue the Official Special Use Permit certificate until the applicant has demonstrated that the required signage is in place. The Special Use Permit approval is not finalized until this office has issued the Official Special Use Permit certificate signed by the Chairman of the Board of County Commissioners.
