Due to the impacts of your proposal, I would suggest that you address the following specific issues prior to your formal application: 1. Wastewater. I would suggest that you contact the State Department of Health (CDOH) regarding specific number of portable toilets required for the public gathering. The number for the Water Quality Control Division is 692-3500; 2. Traffic and Parking. Your proposal may have significant impact of County Road 109. I would suggest contacting King Lloyd, Supervisor for Garfield County Road and Bridge Department. King can be reached at' 945-6111; 3. Security. The Garfield County Sheriff's Department may have requirements regarding security and crowd control at the site during the event. The Sheriff's Department can be reached at 945-0453. These are usually the primary issues associated with applications similar to yours. By addressing them prior to formal application should ensure a smooth public hearing with the Board of County Commissioners. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to give me a call.
