Septic Tank Replacement Installation Observations
1573 CR 154
Garfield County, Colorado
SEPT-9-14-3390
Peter,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS)
on October 8, 2014 for the subject property. New-Age Plumbing and Heating installed the system.
The design letter dated September 15, 2014 outlined changes to OWTS A and OWTS B serving multi-
family dwellings on the subject property. OWTS A is connecting to the City of Glenwood Springs sewer
collection line and observations of the tank abandonment or new fiberglass tank and pump installation
were not made by ALL SERVICE septic, LLC.
OWTS B
The sewer lines from the residences to the septic tanks were replaced and a clean-out installed. A 90
degree angle was present between the clean out and septic tank at the time of the observation. We
recommended this angle be replaced with two 45 degree angles or a more sweeping angle to avoid
clogging. The pipes going to the septic tank had not been bedded at the time of the observation. We
recommended using screened rock to properly bed the pipes to avoid future settling.
The existing septic tank was removed and a 1500-gallon, single compartment Norwesco® poly tank with
an effluent filter, and a 1000-gallon, single compartment Norwesco® poly tank were installed. The
effluent filter must be cleaned annually or as needed.
The sewer pipe from the second septic tank in series was connected to the existing sewer pipe which
connects to the existing seepage pit. The seepage pit was not brought to grade for future accessibility,
as recommended.
The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of
workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are
made to the OW TS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county
regulations.
LIMITS:
Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must
have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in
which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil
type, and weather conditions.
Please call with questions.
Sincerely,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC Reviewed By:

Do:
