In that document staff explained that there was no record o.fa State of Colorado Electrical permit. and no final inspection to finalize this permit and receive a Certificate of Occupancy. Section R110.1 of the International Residential Code (WRC) states that "No building or shall be used or occupied, and no change in the existing occupancy classification of a building or structure or poriron thereof shall be arcade, until the building official has issued a certificate of occupancy".... Given that you have not responded to the Notice of Violation or subsequent phone calls from staff to comply, it is assumed that you choose not to obtain the Certificate of Occupancy and accept full responsibility of your actions. Rather than pursue court action on this matter staff is sending a copy of this letter to the Garfield County Clerk and Recorder office to be recorded with your property title in order to inform any future owner of the property of this building code violation.
