The concrete operation that Mountain Mobile Mix has in the Rifle area is unable to serve the Grand Val1ey area due to concrete being a perlshabl-e product. Delivery tj-me from the batch plant to pour site is of the utmost importance. We propose to install this concrete plant in an area that has been approved and accepted as a gravel pit site. Thepermi-ts for this gravel site was acquired by the Colorado State Highway Oept. Mountain Mobile Mix has its approval from the State Highway Dept. to l-ocate in a portlon of their leasedpit area. Mountain Mobile Mix will acquire a separate leasefrom Mr. Koch, the land owner, for our location. It 1s necessary for Mountain Mobil-e Mix to locate a plant in this area, 1n order to submlt competative bids on contlnuj-ng highway construction of I-7O westerly; also itst proposed Battlement Mesa & Arco projects.
