Limestone P1ant Modification Gentlemen: We hereby request expedited consideration of special use review on applications submitted on May '1, 1982 requesting approval to construct an anhydrite handling and crushing circuit as an addition to our existing limestone and magnetite grinding operation. Copies of the above mentioned permit applications submitted on May '7 are attaehed hereto for convenience. Maps and supporting documents were previously submitted to your Department with the applications. The ore is trucked fro* the Marblehead Limestone Quarry (iust northofGlenwoodSprings)totheplant.At4in.minussize, the ore is then ciushed by a hammermill to 3/4 in' minus, then crushed again by a pulver]-zeT to rock dust (for dusting underground coll minbs). This product is used by Mid-Continent Resouices, fnc. at the Coal Basin mines and sold to other mines in Colorado and Utah. Themagnetiteplantadjacenttothelimestoneplant (same building) brings iron ore by truck from Woody Creek (pitkin Iron ili.r.) anA grinds this ore in a ball mi1l to 325 mesh.
