RE: Rose Ranch PUD, Lift Stations No. I and No. 2, Site Applications
Ski Sunlight Site Application
Grizzly Creek Rest Area Site Application
Dear Sirs,
On Monday, December 17,2001, the Board of County Commissioners and Board of
Health reviewed the Site Applications for the Rose Ranch PUD Lift Stations No. 1 and
No. 2, Ski Sunlight and the Grizzly Creek Rest Area. Both boards recommended
approval of the site applications with comments.
The following discussion identifies each site application separately, with the comments
on each application that were made by the Board of County Commissioners and Board of
Health:
Rose Ranch PUD Lift Stations No. I and No. 2: Both boards made a motion to
recommend approval of the applications, provided that the property to the east of the
Rose Ranch PUD, surrounding the intersection of CR I l4 and State Highway 82 be able
to connect to the Roaring Fork Water and Sanitation District sewage treatment plant
through the Rose Ranch PUD lift stations at the expense of those property owners and
provided the appropriate agreements can be reached to make the connection.
Ski Sunlight: Both boards made a recommendation of approval for the application with
the condition that site specific soils tests be undertaken to determine the environmental
sensitivity and appropriate mitigation measures needed for the site.
Grizzly Creek I-70 Rest Area: Both boards made a recorlmendation of approval for the
application with the condition that site specific soils tests be undertaken to determine the
environmental sensitivity and appropriate mitigation measures needed for the site.
Please attach these comments to the site applications being sent to your office for review.
