DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSAL:
Located at the New Castle - I-70 exit, south
of the river and east of the bridge.
Water coolers will be provided on site for
all rafting participants.
Portable chemical toilets will be provided do
site and maintained on a weekly basis at a minimum
or as otherwise necessary.
Access to the 3.8 acre parcel is by County Road
335. The access cut is presently in existence.

The applicant proposes to utilize the 3.8 acre site
as an operational (egress) point for a Colorado
River rafting operation. A 40 foot semi -trailer
will be parked on-site and used for storage of
all rafting equipment. Drinking water and portable
chemical toilets will be provided on-site. Trash
disposal will be accomplished by the applicant.
Two 55 -gallon trash containers will be located on
site and emptied as necessary. Sufficient parking
is available on-site for the projected number
of participants ( 12 on a slow day versus 60
on a busy day). No residential uses, or on-site
guards, are being requested.
The applicant meets all requirements of the Zoning
Regulations for Recreational Support Facilities.
RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. All proposals of the applicant shall be considered conditions of approval unless
stated otherwise by the Board.
