Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) Installation Observations
4-Bedroom Residence
46145 Hwy 6
Garfield County, Colorado
Permit # SEPT-12-14-3472
Marissa,
ALL SERVICE septic, LLC observed the installation of the onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS)
on December 12, 2014 for the subject property. Miles Rippy Excavating, Inc. installed the system.
The installation included the existing 1000 to 1250-gallon single compartment septic tank, followed by a
new 500-gallon, single-compartment Valley Precast concrete septic tank with an effluent filter on the
outlet tee. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed.
A new distribution box was installed and distributes effluent to three gravelless chamber beds. The exact
figuration of the design was not feasible due to site constraints. At the time of the inspection, the
southern-most bed was plumbed differently, as shown on photos provided. Requested changes were
implemented and the record drawing reflects the actual configuration of the installation.
The southern-most bed consists of one row of 4, one row of 5, and one row of 6 ADS ® ARC 36
chambers for a total of 15 ADS® ARC 36 chambers. The middle bed consists of one row of 6 and one
row of 7 ADS® ARC 36 chambers for a total of 13 chambers. The northern-most bed consists of three
rows of 7 ADS® ARC 36 chambers for a total of 21 chambers. While the distribution is not divided
equally, this should not inhibit the functioning of the system.
The minimum setback of 20-feet from the house to the STA and 10-feet from the STA to any property line
was maintained. The existing distribution box and STA were removed.
The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of
workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are
made to the OW TS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county
regulations.
LIMITS:
Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must
have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in
which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil
type, and weather conditions.
Please call with questions.
Sincerely,
