BACKGROUND Request for an Extension to file an Exemption Plat for an Exemption from the Definition of Subdivision M ike Knox I 600 CR 306, South of Parachute 35 acres split by CR 306 As you are aware, the Board approved an Exemption from the Definition of Subdivision for Mike Knox on December 8, 2004. The approval required the Appl icant satisfy all the conditions of approval and present a plat to the Board for signature within I20 days of the approval which will expire on April 8, 2004. II. REQUEST The Applicant requests the Board grant a I-year extension from the date of originally required deadline in order to complete the conditions of approval for the Exemption. (Please see letter attached as Exhibit A). This extension, if approved, would expire on December 8, 2004. III. BOCC AUTHORITY As a matter of past policy, it has been the practice of the Board to grant I-year extensions for Applicants who have received an approval for an Exemption to complete conditions of approval. It should also be noted , this request is being made 30 days in advance of the original deadline which is also consistent with other regulatory provisions in the county 's land use regulations. IV. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Based on the above , Staff recommends the Board grant an extension for I-year from the date of the original approval to December 8, 2004 for the Knox Exemption from the Definition of Subdivision.
