RE: Framing, Individual Sewage Disposal System (ISDS), Plumbing Inspection
for Barn at 4264 County Road 117
Dear Mr. Groth,
I have performed a site visit and inspected the framing, ISDS, and plumbing for
the above referenced barn in June and July, 2013. I completed an inspection of
the visible portions of the framing and plumbing and have concluded that these
items were constructed in a manner that is consistent with generally accepted
construction methods. Discussing the ISDS with Mr. Groth for the tank sizing
and trench size, the 250 gallon holding tank and 50 feet of trench meet the
minimum requirements for the barn plumbing (a toilet and water closet). I did not
perform testing of the framing or ISDS (destructive or non-destructive) but used
nearby percolation rates to determine that the soil absorption is adequate. The
inspection has not shown flaws or defects of the framing, ISDS and plumbing
since installation.
In conclusion, based on the above facts, it is my professional opinion that the
framing, ISDS, and plumbing meets the minimum code requirements for Garfield
County, Colorado.
