Dear Paco:
It would be acceptable to use a foam block forming system, with a solid 6 inch concrete core, for
the foundation instead of an 8 inch stem wall as currently shown in the drawings. Use the same
reinforcing shown for the 8 inch wall. Minor rebar adjustments may be necessary to make the
reinforcing work with the block system.
The footing for the site wall on grid 4 can be changed to a 16 inch wide by 10 inch deep footing
with the same reinforcing. his my understanding that this wall does not function as a retaining
wall.
