When reviewing a plan and it's discovered that required information has not been provided by the applicant, this will result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding with building construction. The owner or contractor shall be required to provide this information before the plan review can proceed. Other plans that are in line for review may be given attention before the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the Building Department. Please review this document to determine if you have enough information to design your project and provide adequate information to facilitate a plan review. Also, please consider using a design professional for assistance in your design and a construction professional for construction of your project. Any project with more than ten (10) occupants requires the plans to be sealed by a Colorado Registered Design Professional. Eisenhower Boulevard Loveland, CO 805.37 3457 Ringsby Court Suite 212 Denver, CO 80216 Monday June 16, 2008 The purpose of this letter is to summarize the activities ofKL&A, Inc. as the consulting structural engineer on the Weese Residence in Carbondale, CO. KL&A performed calculations and prepared drawings for the construction of the structure including the spread footing foundations, slab-on-grade in the garage, and steel and wood framing. The premanufuctured roof tmsses and SIP wall panels were designed by others. In addition, we reviewed preliminary shop drawings for the structurnl steel and SIP panels. Representative ofKL&A also performed periodic site visits to observe the project under construction for genern! compliance with the structural contract documents and responded to construction questions from the field tl1<1t were presented through your office. These observations were not continuous or exhaustive therefore all conditions may not have been observed. Based on our observations md experience, to the best of our knowledge, the structure of the building was constructed in general confonnance with the structural contract documents and is, in my opinion. substantially in conformance with the structural provisions of the 2003 IBC.
