Dear Brett,
This letter is being prepared for you to serve as a letter of installation regarding the septic
system at the above referenced address. This letter was unfortunately not completed at the time
of installation and complete records of the installation are no longer available. This letter should
be forwarded on to Garfield County for their records to serve as their requested installation letter.
Based on my available records, installation of this system was in two steps. It appears the
field was installed in March of2008 and the septic tank and connection to the house was
installed in June of 2008. A site visit was mad:.on June 2, 2015 to become reacquainted with the
site and the project. During the site visit, the location of the septic system was evident with the
observation of the septic tank lids, cleanouts, and inspection ports in the infiltration trenches.
Additionally, the review of photos on file helped identify the installation of the system. The
photos show that the tank is of proper size, an effluent filter was on location and is assumed to be
installed. Additional photos show the installation of infiltration trenches. I have included some
photos as an attachment to this letter. Additionally, at the time of inspection, there was no
evidence of the system not operating as intended, in fact the vegetation over infiltration trenches
indicate that the system is operating properly.
Based on these observations and photos, it appears that the septic system and its components
were installed generally according to plan. The specific location of the septic tank and field may
have been altered slightly to better accommodate the terrain, but it is my opinion that this will
not adversely impact the function or longevity of the system.
