RE: Domestic Water Supply --
Colorado Mountain College,
West Campus
Gentlemen:
In compliance with the request of the administration of Colorado
Mountain College, I submit the following in regard to water supply
available to the West Campus in Spring Valley.
The apparent adjudication of water to Colorado Mountain College is
comprised of four rights totaling 2.11 cubic feet per second. If
pumped continuously, this adjudication would produce 1,363,000 gallons
per day.
At full development it is anticipated that the college enrollment
will be approximately 1700 full time equivalent students. Nation-
wide water requirements for boarding schools average 100 gallons per
day per student. This would result in a requirement at the Spring
Valley campus of 170,000 g.p.d. If an additional 100 gallons per stu-
dent per day consumption is assumed for support facilities (i.e.
faculty, irrigation, etc.), the total requirement would be 340,000
g.p.d.
It is therefore anticipated that the water supply available to Colorado
Mountain College West Campus is more than adequate.
Respectfully
Jerome F. Gamba
