Permanently preserving open lands for agriculture, wildlife hobifo\, scenic enioymenl and recreo\ion in ~·1e gr:oter Roaring Fork ~nd Co!orodo River Vai!eys A VL T staff has reviewed the proposal to refurbish the dike at the north end cif the wetlands on Lake Srirings Re,H:;·, ai;d to raise the dike 1.5 feet and finds thot that would is consistent with ihe terms of the Berkeley Family conservation ·easement. A functioning dike is critic.al to the maintenance of the wetlands system. Staff! 1as al1:. · reviewed the proposed amendments to tl1e prelimirar i plan to eliminate road encroachments from Rivendell Road and Spring Valley Road which are currently shown of 'he preliminary plan. A VLT supports these changes as any encroachment is not allm,;ed under the terms of tl1e Berkeley Family conservation easement. Thank you for the site visit and opportunity to review your plans.
