Regarding the framing at the above referenced location, we have the following
comments:
1. Hurricane dips attaching the prefabricated roof trusses to the top of framed wall can
be eliminated for this project. Since the wall sheathing overlaps the joint and is nailed
into the truss heals, and into blocking between the trusses, there is adequate uplift
capacity.
2. The 3/4" diameter hole near the bottom of the double LVL.'s in the floor above the
Master Bedroom, approximately 16 inches from the east gable end of the house, is
acceptable, in this case.
