The reports of the services requested and performed for the project are attached. We previously conducted a subsoil study for design of foundations at the site and presented our findings in a report dated October 31, 2014, Job No. 113 47IG. The foundation bearing soils within the building excavation were observed and tested for compaction on February 25, 2015 and are suitable for the recommended bearing pressure of 1,000 psf. Perimeter grade beam reinforcement steel was observed on April 8 and the fresh concrete placed for the grade beams was sampled and tested on April 10, 2015. The post -tensioned slab tendons were observed on May 4, the fresh concrete was sampled on May 11 and tensioning of the tendons was observed on May 14, 2015 according to the project specifications. The results of the tendon tensionin_ were submitted to Fuhrm+ n & Graf for their approval. We did not observe placement of the rigid foam insulation along the building perimeter, but since the perimeter grade beam has a minimum depth of 36 inches, it provides adequate frost protection rather than by insulation. Based upon inferences drawn from our observation and testing, as documented by the attached daily field and laboratory reports, it is our professional opinion that the referenced construction has achieved the specified conditions. Please recognize that construction observation and testing are sampling functions that involve direct Parker 303-841-7119 • Colorado Springs 719-633-5562 • Silverthorne 970-468-1989 Silich Construction Inc. Twelve inch depth tests were performed. We observed a test trench outside of building footprint to be similar fill material to trench depth of 4 feet. It was recommended to Dave Guthrie on 2126115 that additional compaction teats be taken with depth when grade beam trenches are being dug.
