Our Architect is addressing the accessibility items and I have asked the Nucor Engineer for snow Toad
clarification. Do have the Permit Fee calculation so that I can get payment arranged?

Hello Michael,
We have completed the plan review for the FedEx Facility located at TBD CR 154, Glenwood Springs. The following
concerns need to be verified before we can process the building permit for issuance.
1) Garfield County requires a minimum 40 psf (Pf) for the proposed building site location. The Nucor building plans
specify a ground snow load of 40 psf, and roof snow load of 40 psf. The design calculations specify a 20 psf. live
load, a 40 psf. (Pg), and 33.60 psf (Pf). Please verify if the design snow Toad for the structure is a 40 psf, (Pf) flat
roof snow load.
2) ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003, Figure C404.2.5(b), Doors in a Series, requires a 60" turning space between doors, (see
attached). Please amend floor plan page A-2 to provide the required clearance at the office entry doors.
3) ICC/ANSI A117.1-2003, Figure 604.2, Water Closet Location, requires the centerline of the water closet to be 16"
min. and 18" max. from the side wall or partition, (see attached). Please amend accessibility detail on page A-2
to provide the required distance.
To expedite the process, we will accept 8 %2 x 11 sealed details by email to insert into the plans, or you may submit
revised pages by mail, your preference. If so, please submit as "requested revisions" and reference building permit
BLCO-8-15-3843 on your correspondence. Thank you for your time in this request. Feel free to forward any questions or

Andy, our GC has applied for a modification to the permit we had when we were on the other site near the

We have started reviewing the plans for FedEx. Thanks for provided a complete set of drawings. It
makes our job easier and helps expedite the review process. I did not see a storm water discharge
permit from the state for the grading. We just need the letter or single permit page from the state not
the entire application. 1 think Roger Neal is working on this, just making sure.

Hi David, thank you for taking the time to converse with me this morning. You
should be gettting the A,S and MEP plan sets this afternoon. I will overnight two
stes of the pre-engineered metal building plans and calcs for Wednesday delivery
along with a copy of the Geotech Report for reference.
As I mentioned, I did not include Civil or Landscape as I am of the understanding
those are being reviewed as part of the development plan process.
Let me know if you need anything else along the way to aid in your review.
