The following items are required by Garfield County for a final inspection:
1. A final Electrical Inspection from the Colorado State Electrical Inspector.
2. Permanent address assigned by the Garfield County Building Department posted where
readily visible from access road.
3. A finished roof, a lockable house, complete exterior siding, exterior doors and windows
installed, a complete kitchen with cabinets, a sink with hot & cold running water, non-
absorbent kitchen floor coverings, counter tops and finished walls, ready for stove and
refrigerator, all necessary plumbing.
4. A complete bathroom, with wash bowl, tub or shower, toilet stool, hot & cold running
water, non-absorbent floors and walls finished and a privacy door.
5. All steps outside or inside over three (3) steps must have handrails, guardrails on
balconies or decks over 30' high constructed to all 1997 UBC requirements.
6. Outside grading done to where water will detour away from the building.
7. Exceptions to the outside steps, decks and grading may be made upon the demonstration
of extenuating circumstances, i.e., weather, but a Certificate of Occupancy will not be
issued until all the required items are completed and a final inspection made.
S. A final inspection sign off by the Garfield County Road & Bridge Department for
driveway installation, where applicable; as well as any final sign off by the Fire District,
where applicable.
A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL ALL THE ABOVE
ITEMS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.

distances to the property lines from each corner of the proposed structure prepared by a
licensed surveyor and has the surveyors signature and professional stamp on the drawing?

. General Provision
1) The applicant represents all parties in interest. and affirms that the driveway approach (ea) is to be constructed by
him for the bona fide purpose of securing access to his property and not for the purpose of doing business or
servicing vehicles on the road right of way,
2) The applicant shall furnish all labor and materials, perform all work, and pay all costs in connection with the
construction of the driveway(s). All work shall be completed within thirty (30) days of the permit date.
3) The type of construction shall be u designated and/or approved by the Board of County Commissioners or their
representative and all materials used shall be of satisfactory quality and subject to inspectioo and approval of the
Board of County Commissioner or their repr+esesstative.
4) The traveling public shall be protected during the installation with proper warning signs and signals and the Board
of County Commissioners and their duly appointed agents and employee shall be held harmless against any action
for personal injury or property damage sustained by any reason of the exercise of the Permit.
5) The Applicant shall assume responsibility for the removal or clearance of snow, ice, or Gleet upon any portion of
the driveway approach (m) even though deposited on the driveway(s) in the course of the Courcy snow removal
operations.

inspection trip is required, they will be billed at $ 30.00 per inspection. Plans must be submit-
ted to the District for approval prior to this permit being issued to insure compliance with District Rules
and Regulations. Connections and installations must be in accordance with the approved plans. The
District requires a 24 hour notice for all inspection (excluding weekends and holidays). No inspections
will be performed on weekends or holidays. All connections and lines must be fully exposed for inspec-
