Last year we filed for a building permit for the construction of a detached garage with an ADU on the second floor. We finished the construction of the building, but have not finished the ADU interior on the second floor which will include plumbing, wiring, drywall, and fixtures. Our home and newly constructed garage is situated a considerable distance from our neighbors and is not even visible from our road since they are situated away from the road on a forty-five acre lot. The exterior of the building Is complete. We are in the process of accumulating enough money to finish the project which we estimate will be this fall. Therefore, we would like to extend the term of the existing building permit until the end of this year. Is this possible? Best regards. Jack G.
