Grand Junction, CO. 81505 December 2, 2003 Dear Ms. Drussel: Please note that is a violation of Colorado Revised Statutes 30-28-205 and 210 and the Uniform Building Code Sec.107.5 to commence work on a project without first obtaining a building permit. It was observed on this day by one of our inspectors that concrete footers were poured at both 25 Pinetree Place and 13 Pinetree Place in Battlement Mesa, Colorado. This letter serves as notice that a Stop Work notice is placed on both of these projects. Both these projects have permit applications applied for. In addition to the requirements of the application, an engineer will have to review the footer work done and provide us with a stamped letter stating the work was done as to code and the engineered foundation drawings included with the permit applications. We are also requiring a surveyor provide us with a stamped letter or drawing stating the footers are within the building envelope shown on the site plans. As per Sec 107.5.2 of the Uniform Building Code both these projects are subject to a fee that will be paid at permit issuance. You are hereby given notice, pursuant to the above statutes, that you must correct the violations within 30 days of the date this notice is received. Violation of the above statutes is a misdemeanor crime. If you have any questions regarding what actions are required to achieve compliance, or wish to report compliance action taken, please contact this office in writing at the address above.
