You, as the homeowner, installed the system. The system was designed to accommodate 1 -bedroom in the existing cabin and 4 -bedrooms in the new residence. The existing OWTS on the property was abandoned in place. An average daily wastewater flow of 675 GPD was used. The system installation included a 1500 -gallon, two-compartment concrete septic tank with an effluent filter installed on the outlet tee. The soil treatment area (STA) consists of two beds, one with three rows of 14 `Quick 4' Infiltrator® chambers connected with a level manifold (STA 1), and the other with four rows of 10 `Quick 4' Infiltrator® chambers for a total area of 984 square feet of infiltrative area. The infiltrative area may not exceed 4 -feet below native grade. Inspection ports were installed in all four corners of each bed and may be cut to grade and covered with a sprinkler box for access. The STA should be fenced or otherwise protected from traffic. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. ALL SERVICE septic, LLC should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Think at th Don't: • Pour cooking grease or oil down the sink or toilet. • Rinse coffee grounds into the sink. • Pour household chemicals down the sink or flush them. Do: • Eliminate or limit the use of a garbage disposal. • Properly dispose of coffee grounds a food. • Put grease in a container to harden before discarding in the trash. Don't: • Flush non -degradable products or chemicals, such as feminine hygiene products, condoms, dental floss, diapers, cigarette butts, cat litter, paper towels, pharmaceuticals. Do: • Dispose of these items in the trash can! Don't: • Park or drive on your drainfield. The weight can damage the drain lines. • Plant trees or shrubs too close to your drainfield, roots can grow into your system and clog it. Do: • Consult a septic service professional to advise you of the proper distance for planting trees and shrubs, depending on your septic tank location. L Don't • Concentrate your water use by using your dishwasher, shower, washing machine, and toilet at the same time. All that extra water can really strain your septic system. Do: • Stagger the use of water -generating appliances. This can be helpful especially if your system has not been pumped in a long time. • Become more water efficient by fixing plumbing leaks and consider installing bathroom and kitchen faucet aerators and water -efficient products.
