We should be able to transfer some of the building permit fees from the old permit to the new permit. There will be a cost associated with doing a new plan review. Please note we have adopted a new code which is the 2003 IRC and any plans submitted must match those requirements. Please call if you have any questions. Andy Schwaller Building Official, Garfield County aschwaller@garfield-county.com 970.945.8212 Original Message From: Teresa Vetter [mailto:Teresa@ski.com] Sent: Monday, December 13, 2004 10:56 AM To: Andy Schwaller Subject: Building Permit Extension Andy, Please extend our current building permit #8778 issued 06/23/03 (1st extension 12/23/03). We have decided to build a stick built house, on site, which will be similar in size to the previous log home. As per our conversation on 12/09/04 we will submit a new permit application and a new set of plans in the near future. Thank you for patience and support as we try to build a home amidst the obstacles of the Roaring Fork Valley. When reviewing a plan and it's discovered that required information has not been provided by the applicant, this will result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding with building construction. The owner or contractor shall be required to provide this information before the plan review can proceed. Other plans that are in line for review may be given attention before the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the Building Department. Please review this document to determine if you have enough information to design your project and provide adequate information to facilitate a plan review. Also, please consider using a design professional for assistance in your design and a construction professional for construction of your project. Any project with more than ten (10) occupants requires the plans to be sealed by a Colorado Registered Design Professional.
