DESCRIPTION OF INSPECTION WORK PERFORMED: Special inspection for erection and high-strength bolt tensioning
of Pre-engineered metal building (Rhino Fabrication) and miscellaneous field welding of structural steel tabs as
required by the 2009 / 2012 IBC, structural engineer and local building Jurisdiction.
LOCATION IN STRUCTURE Special inspection provided during installation / field erection of pre-engineered metal
building components foundation through roof as detailed and approved by Dale Kaup (structural engineer).
REMARKS FOR STRUCTURAL STEEL Witness pre -tensioning of A325 high-strength bolted steel -to -steel connections
as well as miscellaneous field welding at relocated connection plates as detailed by Dale Kaup (structural
engineer / design professional of record).
All shop welding and fabrication performed by Rhino Builders (AISC approved fabricator) and miscellaneous field
welding performed by certified welder (certs kept on file). Any weld discontinuities were corrected in inspector's
presence and re -welded in accordance with AWS D1.1/ AISC specifications. No problems noted. Mill
certifications for steel elements reviewed and kept on file by fabricator.
REMARKS GENERAL: Special inspection on this protect was performed per the special Inspection requirements
adopted from the 2009 / 2012 IBC by the Garfield County Building Department as part of the approved plan.
ALL WORK REFERENCED ABOVE WITNESSED BY INDUSTRIAL INSPECTION SERVICES PERSONNEL, PERFORMED FROM
APRIL SECOND THROUGH TWENTY-THIRD, TWO THOUSAND AND FIFTEEN, WAS SATISFACTORILY COMPLETED AND
CONFORMS TO THE APPROVED PLANS, THE 2009 / 2012 INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODES (IBC), THE ADOPTED
PROVISIONS OF THE AWS D1.1 AND THE C MANUAL OF STEEL ONSTRUCTION (9Th EDITION). THIS STATEMENT APPLIED
DIRECTLY TO THOSE PORTIONS OF TH UCTURE WHICH S NSPECTION WAS PRESCRIBED AS PART OF THE
