RE: I'lead Subdivision Exemption
DArE: L2l7l87
The following information outlines the history and current status
of what is cornmonly referred to as the Mead Sudbivi-sion Exemption:
1. Three lots have been legally creat.ed out of Norman I'leadrs proPerty
off of county road 320. A11 were created by exemption and have
resolutions of approval. (Lot /13 Resolutioa 78-49, Lot /15 Resolution
8l-278, Lot //2 Resolution 82-25)
2. tot //1, applied for by Pamela Mead went through the public meeting
process and received conditional approval from the then Board of
County Commissioners. The conditions of approval, including
the submittal of an approved exemption plat were never complebdd.
3. The plat submitted for Lot /11 included three other lots (//4, 116,
and, tl7), that had not received any approval by the Board and had
not even been applied for. As a result, the plat has remained
unsigned and the applicant has failed to apply for the additional
lots or remove them fmom the Plat.
4. During the public meeting for Lot i/1, the Board indicated in their
amend.ment to condition ll4 (see attached minutes f or 3/12/84) their
intent to allow for further exemptions to create lots for other
family members. However, there is no indication that they waived
any of the requirements of the exemption Processr including the
need to formally make application and receive apProval through
the public meeting Process.
5. Letters to the applicant outlining needed action to complete these
matters have gone unanswered, and the status of the unapproved lots
remains unresolved.
