The members above appeared to be fitting the anchor bolts as required. Visually inspected the holes that were to receive the high strength bolts at the main pre engineered steel connections. The hole sizes were of the correct diameter for the bolts that were to be used in these connections. There were no excessive burrs noted at the faying surfaces. Tested three of the 1"x2-314", 718"x2-114", and 3/4"x2-112" A325 bolts that were to be used in the main frame & crane beam to rafter connections in a Wilhelm Skidmore bolt tension testing device. The results of the testing indicated RISC specification compliance. Went through the bolt tightening procedure step by step as outlined in the AISC specification for structural joints using ASTM A325 or A490 bolts with the steel erection owner/supervisor to make sure they understood the correct procedure for tightening the bolts using the turn of the nut method with match marking techniques. The bolt size & grade was as shown on the drawings. The bolts & nuts had been match marked and then the nuts rotated 1/3 of a turn as required per table 8.2 of the AISC specification for Structural Joints Using ASTM A325 or A490 Bolts. Also verified that the nuts on the anchor bolts had been snug tightened. Observed that two of the bolt/nut assemblies had not been match marked & tightened. These bolts were then tightened by the erection crew, and the bolting inspected above was then found to be acceptable per the contract documents & the AISC specification. To the best of my knowledge this completes the high strength bolting inspections at this building. However there is still some welding to be perform & inspected at the crane beams as shown on drawing E2. To the best of my knowledge this completes the inspection of the high strength bolting & structural welding of the above building structures. To the best of my knowledge the high strength bolting & structural welding appeared to be as shown on the drawings, and met the quality requirements of the U.B.C., AWS D1.1 structural welding code, and the RISC specification for structural joints using ASTM A32 or A490 bolts.
