April 11, 2003 Garfield County Building & Planning Department 108 8th Street Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 Ref: Building Permit #8564, 1962 County Road 132 RECEIVED A. t GARFIELD COUNTY BURLING & PLANNING The above referenced building permit was issued to reconstruct our residence that was destroyed during the Coal Seam Fire. The permit was obtained to satisfy our insurance company of our intent to rebuild in order to facilitate an insurance settlement. In view of the fact that this area has not received significant rain or snow fall, we are hesitant to rebuild at this time because of the possibilities of additional mud slides should heavy rains occur. Therefore, we request a refund (to the maximum permitted) of our building permit fees paid.
