The following items are required by Garfield County for a final inspection:
I. A final Electrical Inspection from the Colorado State Electrical Inspector;
2. Permanent address assigned by Garfield County Building Department posted where readily
visible from access road;
3. A finished roof, a Lockable house, complete exterior siding, exterior doors and windows
installed, a complete kitchen with cabinets, a sink with hot & cold running water, non-absorbent
kitchen floor coverings, counter tops and finished walls, ready for stove and refrigerator, all
necessary plumbing;
4. A complete bathroom, with washbowl, tub or shower, toilet stool, hot and cold running water,
non-absorbent floors and walls finished and a privacy door;
5. All steps outside or inside over three (3) steps must have handrails, guard rails on balconies or
decks over 30" high constructed to all 1997 UBC requirements;
6. Outside grading done to where water will detour away from the building;
7. Exceptions to the outside steps, decks and grading may be made upon the demonstration of
extenuating circumstances, i.e. weather, but a Certificate of Occupancy will not be issued until
all the required items are completed and a final inspection made.
A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY WILL NOT BE ISSUED UNTIL ALL TELE ABOVE
ITEMS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED.
****CAN -TOT OCCUPY OR USE DWELLING UNTIL A CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY
(C.O.) IS ISSUED. OCCUPANCY OR USE OF DWELLING WITHOUT A C.O. WILL BE

PREMISES UNTIL ABOVE CONDITIONS ARE MET.

On October 23, 2001, personnel of Pattillo Associates Engineers inspected the Outfitting and
Trophy Cabin at the above referenced property. We were retained by Mr. Craig Wilcox after he
received a stop work order form you dated October 10, 2001. In order fir the Outfitting and
Trophy Cabin to meet the 1994 U.B.C. code, we instructed Mr. Wilcox's contractor to do the
following work:
1) Hire a soils engineer and obtain a report
2) Add concrete piers under the west bearing wall (5'-0" o.c.)
3) Add steel channels to the center beam in the crawlspacc
4) 'Treat the timber wall behind the stone veneer skirt
5) Re -grade to provide 3'-0" footing cover for frost protection
6) Provide strap connections from the timber floor to the concrete piers
7) Add thru bolts at the tied roof truss connections
8) Add hardware at each end of the tied roof truss at the front of the trophy loft
9) Add 1 - 2x8 to dbl 2x8 porch roof beam
i0) Add columns and footings directly under the porch roof columns
On May 2, 2002, personnel of Pattillo Associates Engineers re -inspected the Cabin and the
work listed above. The work was completed and the Cabin is in general conformance with the
1994 U.B.C.

structure for which this permit is granted, and further agrees that if the above said regulations
are not fully complied with in the zoning, location, erection and construction of the above
