After reviewing the roof layout plans on pages 7 of 9 and 8 of 9 it is determined that rafters are 2X12 #2 Hemlock Fir 24" O.C. with a span of 15' 11". To achieve 40# live load required by Garfield County it will be necessary to attach a 2X8 #2 Hemlock Fir joist to every 2X12 rafter spanning 14' 1" or more.
