Outside grading done to where water will detour away from the building; 7. Exceptions to the outside .steps, decks and grading may be made upon the demonstration of extenuating circumstances, i.e. weather, but a Certificate of Occupancy will not be issued until all the required items are completed and a final inspection made. Subject: Holes in Microllam LVL for ventilation in roof system To Whom It May Concern: On Thursday March 14, 2002 I visited the job site to look at Microllams that the contractor needed to place small holes in for ventilation.The areas in the house where they are located are in the roof area above the family room in the headered off section by dormer. The other area is in the master bath area above tub, valley beams for dorrner.1 looked at loads being carried by Microllams in both areas and determined that the 2 piece 1-3/4" x 11-7/8" Microllams used in these areas had plenty of excess capacity to go ahead and place small 1" holes alone top edge.
