Adequate and complete information will prevent delays in the plan review process. Reviewing a plan and the discovery that required information has not been provided by the applicant may result in the delay of the permit issuance and in proceeding with building construction. The owner or contractor may be required to provide this information before the plan review may proceed. This causes delays because other plans that are in line for review may be given attention before the new information may be reviewed after it has been provided to the Building Department. Please review this document to determine if you have enough information to design your project and provide adequate information to facilitate a plan review. If you do not, it may be helpful toobtain a book titled "Dwelling Construction under the Uniform Building Code". This book is available to you through this department at our cost. Also, please consider using a design professional for assistance in your design and a construction professional for construction of your project. To provide for a more understandable plan in order to determine compliance with the building, plumbing and mechanical codes, applicants are requested to review the following checklist prior to and during design. Applicants are required to indicate appropriately and to submit the completed checklist at time of application for a permit. , Is a site plan included that identifies the location of the proposed structure or addition and distances to the property lines from each comer of the proposed structure prepared by a licensed surveyor and has the surveyors signature and professional stamp on the drawing? Based on being able to move in to the new home within one week oftoday's date, the deadline for removal of the old home would be around the 15'" of December, 2008. The plan is to move the family into the new home. At that time the power, water and natural gas will be disconnected from the old home. Based on the expected move in being allowed in the very near future, disconnects should be complete by the end of this month. We will begin removing salvage items such as doors, windows, and hard wood flooring as soon as the family has moved, making the existing structure unlivable in a very short time. We need the house removed for access to the new garage, so it is our best interest to expedite the process, but even with that it will take some time to get the house totally removed, and I hope that the 90 day plan is acceptable to the county. One additional label will be located in each additional "module" in either a wardrobe, vanity or head cabinet.
