D. there were present: Commissioner Chairman Commissioner Tom Jankovskv , Commissioner Kevin Batchelder , County Manager Tari Williams , County Attomey Kellv Cave Assistant County Attorney Jean Alberico , Clerk of the Board when the following proceedings, among others were had and done, to-wit: RESoLUTToN No. J ol G' /'7 A RESOLUTION CONCERNED WITH THE APPROVAL OF A ZONE DISTRICT AMENDMENT TO A 6.472.ACR8 PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS AIRPORT PARCEL C. THE SITE WAS RECENTLY DE.ANNEXED [-ROM THE CITY OF RIFLE AND IS TO BE ZONED AS COMMERICIAL/AIRPORT SERYICES (CA/S) WITHIN TIIB AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK PUD. THE PROPERTY IS OWNED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMNtrSSIONERS AND IS LOCATED ADJACENT TO TTIE GARFIELD COUNTY AIRPORT IN SECTION 13, TOWNSTilP 6 SOUTH, RANGE 93 WEST OF THE 6TH P.M., GARFTELD COUNTY, COLORADO. A PORTION OF PARCELNO 2177-134-OO-205 Recitals A. The Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado, received aZone District Amendment application from Community Development on behalf of the Board of County Commissioner for a6-4'72-acre property located in Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 93 West of the 66 P.na. Garfield County, Colorado. B. The zone district amendment requests that the subject site be zoned as Commercial / Airport Services (CA/S) within the Airport Indusrrial Park pUD. C.. A Public Hearing was held by the Garfield County Planning Commission on February L0,2OL6 at which time the Planning Commissiorl voted unanimously to forward a recorlmendation to the Board of County Commissioners to approve the requested zoning of the parcel. E. On March 7 ,2016 the Board of County Commissioners opened a public hearing upon the question of whether theZnne District Amendment should be approved, approved with changes, or denied at which hearing the public and interested persons were given the opportunity to express their opinions regarding the issuance of said Zone District Amendment. F. The Board of County Commissioners closld the public hearing on March 7,2016 to make a final decision. G. The Board on the basis of substantial competent evidence produced at the aforementioned hearing, has made the following determinations of fact: l. That proper public notice was providecl as required for the hearing before the Board of County Commissioners. 2. That the hearing before the Board of County Commissioners was extensive and complete, - that all pertinent facts, matters and issues were submitted or could be submitted and that all interested parties were heard at that rneeting. 3. That for the above stated and other reasons the request to rezone the property is in the best interest ofthe health, safety, convenience, order, prosperity and welfare ofthe citizens of Garfield County. 4. That the application has met the requirements of the Garfield County 2013 Land Use and Development Code, as amended. 5. That the application is in general conformance with Garfield County Comprehensive Plan 2030. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County, Colorado, that based upon the determination of facts set forth above, the Zone District Amendment for the 6.472-acre property to Commercial / Airport Services (CA/S) within the Airport Industrial Park PUD is hereby approved.
