Requirements:
1. Plans and specifications for proposed use.
2. Letters of approval from utility companies, sewage and water. Road access
and other information deemed necessary.
3. A vicinity map drawn to scale depicting the subject property, location and
use of buildings and structures on adjacent lots.
4. An impact statement on the proposed use (see 5.03.07 - 5.03.09 of Zoning Regs.
5. A copy of Assesscr's map showing property; and a listing of all adjoining
property owners and property owners within 200 feet of said property.
Notice containing information described under paragraph 5 shall be mailed
to all owners of record of these lots at least 5 days prior to the hearing
by certified return receipt mail.
6. Notice including the name of the applicant, description of the subject lot,
a description of the proposed special use and the time and place for the
hearing shall be given in the newspaper of general circulation in that
portion of the County at least fifteen (15) days prior to such hearing time.
Applicant shall bear the cost of advertising.
7. A fee of $500.00 shall be charged for each application and shall be sub-
mitted with the application.
This Special Use Permit is in compliance with Sections 5.03 and 9.03 of the
Garfield_County Zoning Resolution and as per application.
List all property owners within 200 feet of subject property lines.

As per my phone conversation with Mrs. Arnold on November 24,
please find a list of items that need to be addressed in a cover
letter for your Special Use Permit application, as follows:
1. Access- Will you be making any improvements to the access?
Will the surface be gravelled or paved?
2. Parking- Number of parking spaces; surfacing material of the
parking spaces.
3. Fencing- Will the outside storage area be fenced? If so, what
type of fencing will be used (ie., chain link vs.
screened fence, etc.)? How large will the outside
storage area be? What typesof items will you be
storing there?
4. Are you proposing any landscaping for the area?
5. Are you proposing any security lighting for the building?
6. What sort of sign will you have?
In addition to this cover letter, you will also need to submit
a copy of the Proof of Publication from the newspaper, and a
$52.00 fee for your exemption request.

and state their views, protests or objections. If you cannot appear personally
at such meeting, then you are urged to state your views by letter, particularly
if you have objections to such Special Use Permit, as the Board of County
Commissioners will give consideration to the comments of surrounding property
owners and others affected in deciding whether to grant or deny the request for
special use. This Special Use Permit application may be reviewed at the office
of the Planning Department located at 2014 Blake, Glenwood Springs, Colorado
between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
