This project was permitted under Garfield grading permit GRAD-12-15-4010. To address the unsuitable fill material, Xcel has worked with their design engineers Ulteig (cc’d on this email) to come up with a plan that would involve excavating unstable soil and replace with suitable fill which is all within the existing fence and grading permit boundaries. However, in addition to replacing the fill, (2) 6” drains would be installed which will daylight to the north. The disturbance outside the permitted area is fairly minor and will include area to install the two French drains and two check dams downgradient from the outlets to dissipate the energy from the drains. These details are provided on the attached maps. Please let us know if we need to submit anything more formal. Xcel is planning to redline their stormwater management plans to reflect this change.
